Shelter 2 FULL: The Ultimate Guide to Mastering the Game

Truth be told, what constitutes as experimental nowadays barely toes the line, and few games are capable of delivering emotionally charging experiences without pages of needless exposition. So while the supersaturated survival genre brainlessly loops and profits with predictability, Shelter 2 is the paradigm shift, blurring the barriers and injecting the sort of sentimental sensations typical of visual novels or painfully awkward family reunions. Unfortunately, that escape from tradition is mostly whispered, leaving too many stones unturned and stories untold.

Shelter reservation holders (and their guests) are responsible for removing all personal belongings from the shelter and existing premises no later than the applicable closing time. No exceptions shall be granted.

Shelter 2 FULL

Beginning with a pack of wolves chasing you as a very pregnant lynx, Shelter 2 portrays itself as a game full of suspense. However, after some metaphysical assistance, you find a den and give birth to your four kittens. Although it was a bit nerve-wracking to wonder what was going to happen to my defenseless children, the beginning was the high point of the narrative.

Resource rooms operate with a hidden time pool (hereafter simply referred to as "pool"). Every second all working dwellers in the room add their relevant SPECIAL stat to that pool, increased by the vault's happiness bonus. When the pool is full the room is ready for the player to harvest its resource, after which the pool is emptied and the dwellers need to fill it up again. When a room is merged the pool size is increased to match the new room size. So the pool in a double room is twice the size of a single room, and a triple room thrice the size of a single. Upgrading the room seems to have no noticeable effect on a room's pool size. If a dweller is moved out of the room (perhaps to handle an incident) then the points they've accumulated remain with the room's pool.

Production rooms can "rush" to produce resources quickly. Depending on the probability given in-game, the room can instantly yield resources, experience and a number of caps equal to the percentage of the chance taken. A failed rush attempt leads to an inevitable incident in that room; this may be a fire or an infestation of radroaches/mole rats. Each attempt to rush production, whether successful or not, raises the chances of failure in the next rush. The room's rush penalty slowly decays over time. The total chances to fail a rush in a specific room is affected by the luck and the traits of the workers and the room's current rush penalty. With a successful rush attempt, all workers of a room gain a total of 10 points of happiness over the next 30 seconds. A failed rush attempt lowers the workers happiness by 10 points. Only workers that stay in a room during the entire 30 seconds after the rush will receive the full bonus/penalty.

A fully occupied merged room can be deadly to invaders if your dwellers are well trained and fully equipped. Make sure the two first floors contain fully merged rooms with trained dwellers to take out most of the intruders.

Willis Tucker Park offers two types of shelters: the large, traditional fixed-roof picnic shelters and the canvas-covered kite shelters. Reservations must be made at least three days in advance (no more than nine months in advance).

The Field Shelter (Shelter 2) is located across the field from the amphitheater. It measures 24 feet by 36 feet and includes a BBQ grill and seating for approximately 32. Although the shelter is the same size as Shelter 1, the maximum capacity is bumped to 100 because about 1/3 of the adjacent open field is included. Please be aware, there is no vehicle access to Shelter 2 and bounce houses/inflatables are now prohibited.

The Volleyball Shelters (3 & 4) are similar to shelters 1 & 2, but are located on the east side of the park near the off-leash dog area. While they are adjacent the volleyball courts (nets A-D), they are not included in the rental. For more information about the courts, court policy, and net rentals, please visit our Sports Fields page and Court Policy page.

Large shelters are available year-round. Peak Season (Apr 1 - Sep 30), Shelters 1 & 2 offer 1/2 day rentals (7:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM - Dusk). During the Off-Peak Season these shelters can be reserved once a day (7 a.m.- dusk). See Fees & Prices page for rates.

Great for smaller birthday parties and picnics, our kite shelters provide relief from the sun and line-of-sight monitoring of the little ones playing in the splash pad. Each has three picnic tables (seating for 24) with a max capacity of 25. Because the kite shelters are on the splash pad area, glass containers are not allowed. Gas BBQs may be brought from home if placed on the side of the shelter opposite the splash pad, and cardboard is placed beneath the grill to catch falling grease. Sorry, no potable water, power, or vehicle access at the shelter. 2ff7e9595c
